This coming September 2020, a group of volunteer pilots will participate in a recreation of the 2650-mile transcontinental airmail flights of 100 years ago. You can help commemorate the historic centennial by owning a piece of modern history created exclusively for the Air Mail 100 Centennial Flights Project.
Limited edition set of 16 postcards dedicated to the original 1920 airfields featuring period photos of aircraft, hangars, pilots.
As of 01-October-2020, we now have just 2 complete sets of the 16 dedicated 1920 airfield postcards out of the original 50 sets. We do have a couple hundred single postcards available for $2.00 each plus $3 postage. Payment is via Paypal account. Contact me at bmoore[at]evworld.com for ordering details. All proceeds fund the AirMail100 Centennial Flights project, which has distributed, at no cost more than 4,000 postcards to various youth groups around the 16 airfields. Once addressed and stamped, they will be carried in relay by the participating volunteer pilots and their aircraft to be cancelled by the Postmaster in San Francisco by a special commemorative postmark.
